I took this photo on some undeveloped land near my apartment less than a week ago. On my way home from work this evening I noticed that this field had been mowed. What would possess someone to do such a thing? Wow, I am completely dumbfounded.

Solo
If I'd had more daylight I might have been able to find a better specimen, but time wasn't on my side. I captured this Texas Bluebonnet (Lupinus texensis) in Austin, Texas. (Zuiko 50mm macro, f/4.0, 1/200 sec., 100 ISO, handheld)

Bluebonnet Blur (Abstract)
I had about 15 minutes of sunlight this evening after I got home from work and captured these bluebonnets. I took this particular shot hoping it would have some artistic possibilities. I think it did.

Why They're Called Bluebonnets
Made it to Texas a little over a month ago. I've been too busy to spend any time taking pictures or playing on Flickr until today. I got a brief break in the weather late in the day and took this shot on the side of I-35. Shortly thereafter I was accosted by a police officer who said, "it is against the law to take pictures on the highway" and that I must leave immediately, or something to that effect. Thank goodness there isn't any real crime going on in Austin.
