Why They're Called Bluebonnets

Made it to Texas a little over a month ago. I've been too busy to spend any time taking pictures or playing on Flickr until today. I got a brief break in the weather late in the day and took this shot on the side of I-35. Shortly thereafter I was accosted by a police officer who said, "it is against the law to take pictures on the highway" and that I must leave immediately, or something to that effect. Thank goodness there isn't any real crime going on in Austin.

I captured this Texas Bluebonnet (Lupinus texensis) in Austin, Texas. (Zuiko 50mm macro, f/5.6, 1/80 sec., 400 ISO, handheld)
